Altay Uzun is a multifamily specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Virginia offices. As a Senior Vice President, he exclusively represents multifamily owners in the transaction of investment properties throughout Virginia.
Altay has in-depth experience with all types of multifamily transactions including but not limited to market rate multifamily, LIHTC, historical tax credit properties, and short term rental transactions. Altay’s clientele includes local, regional, national, and international investors.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Altay founded and contributed to the growth of several startups and small businesses and worked in property management while completing his studies at the University of Virginia. Altay also studied abroad in 10 different countries. Today, Altay advises and assists private investors in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets while also leading the Marcus & Millichap Hampton Roads Multifamily Team. Altay has closed over 160 multifamily transactions for Marcus & Millichap. Altay’s entrepreneurial business background, talent for sales, and knowledge of the local market, allow him to maximize return on equity for his clients. Altay Uzun holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Virginia.

We are able to connect local and out of area investors while having a local physical presence through our basis of operations in Norfolk, Richmond, Durham and Washington D.C. Approximately more than half of our transactions are acquired by out of area capital.
